[tab name='OVERVIEW']

"Improved" Level 3.3 "Reference Series" XLR Balanced 110 Ohm Digital Interconnect ($200): A single ANTICABLES Interconnect which will enable AES/EBU Digital connection between a digital source and DAC.

New cable Topology:

We are pleased to announce this new dot.3 version of our XLR Balanced Digital Interconnect. We took what we learned during our 2 year development cycle of our USB Digital cable and applied it to this SPDIF cable. This new wire topology better holds the proper characteristic impedance from end to end. The results are 100% positive.

Musically:

This new configuration provides an even greater picture of each instrument in the recording, and the harmonic beauty of the music. There is better focus and less digital artifacts.

Value:

We have kept the price the same, so you get even better sound without spending more.

Highlights:

  • Only $200
  • 30 day risk free trial
  • XLR plugs use Gold plated 90% Copper alloy (not brass) contacts
  • ACElectrumSilver/Gold alloy signal conductors
  • Made in USA (one at a time in Lake Elmo MN)

Design Concept:

For sonic reasons all

ANTICABLES Digital Interconnects are only available in 1.5m lengths. The 1.5m length sounds better then say a shorter length of 1/2m because of the propagation speed of the digital signal in wire, the reflective nature of digital transmissions, and the non critical holes in the SPDIF format in which reflections will not jitter the proceeding information.

The

ANTICABLES Digital Interconnects share the same non-cable design of the ANTICABLES Analog Interconnect. Since air is a near perfect dielectric, no extra insulation dielectric material (beyond the thin white and red coating) is used, and the wires are suspended in free air. Eliminating dielectric effect distortion is what allows these interconnects to sound like music, (not a cable).

[tab name='SOUND']

Sound:

  • Open and transparent
  • Tight tuneful deep bass

Additional Features:

  • No thick plastic jacketing, which adds dielectric effect distortion and smears the audio signal
  • Sound less like a cable and more like real music than cables costing many times more (see Testimonials)
