Announcing New Level 2.1 Speaker Wires

The wire used to make our Level 2 and Level 3 Speaker Wires and Jumpers has been improved. The sonic improvement is enough they are now declared our Level 2.1 and Level 3.1 Speaker Wires and Jumpers. This new wire is so good, these new Level 2.1 Speaker Wires now sound even better than our former Level 3 Speaker Wires. Yes, the lower cost product actually leap-frogged the former more expensive offering. Sonic improvements listed below.

Reviewer Karl Sigman of Audiophilia said of the Level 2 Speaker Wires:

...I was very pleasantly surprised. Quite frankly I was baffled–not just by the red color, skinniness, bareness and such–but by their sound: They indeed offered an impeccably neutral and transparent style that I like..."

"...very practical benefit of being able to bend them any which way."

"You can bend them 90 degrees and have them stay like that no sweat."

    "They were a saving grace..."

"...they allowed me to focus on the equipment and music as opposed to worrying about cabling."

Karl Sigman of Audiophilia, used ANTICABLES in his PS Audio Sprout review:

"I simply connected the speaker cables and Bluetoothed away immediately. Wonderful sound; deep, full, transparent, natural—hard to believe." Read more

Reviewer Ron Brenay of New Record Day said:

"I threw the entire ANTICABLES loom into the mix (Level 2 speaker wires, Level 2.2 RCA ICs, and Level 3 Power cords), and got as close to what I would consider a full blown Hi-Fi system that still offers serious value and does not cut any critical corners. I typically see Clayton (of Spatial Audio), paired with Red Dragon and ANTICABLES at the shows. And when I heard their room in Newport (T.H.E. Show), I had the feeling this was going to be the combo to beat."

"...I pressed play and got the party started. I ended up with a holographic midrange and enough detail to bring excitement to any party."

"...With the entire cable loom covering the whole rig, the ANTICABLES are no nonsense, outside of the box way of thinking. Paul has a good thing going with his ANTICABLES and what impressed me most is we didn't even clime all the way up his line-up to make all three systems sing to their full potential. Priced conservatively across the board, I can say with a straight face, that his cables offer true value. In one word, I think ANTICABLES offer clarity. I heard it in my very first New Record Day review, and I heard it all over again more then a year later."

"...With the big rig rocking, everything about both the Sprout and Sphinx combos were bested in every possible category. All the nuts and bolts with the sound stage were tightened up. Dynamics dropped bigger bombs. Detail was even handed and provided just enough sparkle to keep things interesting, without sounding thin or sterile."

"...Texture and tone of cymbal hits were ballsy and robust, and smashed their way through the mix the way they are suppose too. Electric guitars popped with bite & body. Fine line details lead to goosebumps and grins. Call it system synergy, call it what you want, bottom line... this is where the magic show turns to reality."

    Additional Features:

    • Listed as The Absolute Sound's "Top Audio Products" for 2010 and 2011 (issues 197 & 207)
    • No thick plastic jacketing, which adds dielectric effect distortion and smears the audio signal
    • Factory twisted which makes them easier to manage, better looking, and keeps inductance low for best sound
    • Sound less like a speaker cable and more like real music than cables costing 10 to 100 times more as claimed by our customers (see Testimonials)
    • [tab name="PURCHASE OPTIONS"]

Optional Terminations Available (click on above image thumbnails to view)

      • Comes standard with our excellent sounding proprietary Oxygen Free Solid Copper Spades which are .525" wide and fit standard 1/4" (6mm) and 5/16" (8mm) Binding posts
      • Banana BFA style Z-Plugs made of Gold Plated Beryllium Copper (not Brass), add $10/four
      • Medium Sized Copper Spades (.430" wide) for Barrier Strip Screw Terminals (older ARC amps and Vandersteen speakers)
      • Vintage Copper Spades (.320" wide) for small screw terminals on 60's amps (Scott, Fisher, Dynaco, McIntosh, etc.)
      • Un-Terminated Bare Wire Ends

      Upgrade Paths:

      • The Level 3.1 Speaker Wires uses twice as much Copper which provides the last word in bass weight and authority, dynamics, and harmonic structure. Our top recommendation.
      • If you speakers are Bi-Wireable (4 binding posts), at the minimum you should replace the bad sounding shiny gold plated Brass straps (that typically come with speakers), with a set of Copper ANTICABLES Jumpers.
      • If you speakers are Bi-Wireable (4 binding posts), install a Bi-Wire set of ANTICABLES and take advantage of that feature of your speakers.
      • For the very best, Bi-Wire using our Level 3.1 Speaker Wires as shown HERE.
