Choosing your product

What do the different ANTICABLES levels mean?

The product levels distinguish different conductor, construction, and connector options. Each level is intended for a different point in a system and budget.

Which ANTICABLES level should I buy?

Start with the product family you need, then choose the level that fits your system and budget. Higher levels use progressively refined materials, construction, or terminations within that product family. The How to Choose guide walks through the decision in order.

How do I choose the right cable length?

Measure the actual path the cable will take between components, amplifier and speakers, or outlet and component. Add enough length for comfortable routing and connection without pulling the cable tight, but avoid unnecessary excess.

Banana plugs or spades?

Choose the termination that best matches the binding posts on your amplifier and speakers. Banana plugs are convenient when the equipment accepts them securely; spades can be a good fit for compatible binding posts that clamp firmly. The best choice is the one that gives your equipment a secure mechanical connection.

RCA or XLR?

Use the connection type supported by the components you are connecting. If both RCA and XLR are available, check the equipment manufacturer’s guidance and system design rather than assuming one connection is universally better.

Where should I upgrade first?

Start with the connection that is most important to the system you are building or the cable that currently needs replacement. There is no single upgrade order that is best for every system. If you want help prioritizing, contact ANTICABLES with your amplifier, speakers, source components, and current cables.

Design & construction

What makes ANTICABLES different?

ANTICABLES are built around a simple approach: solid-core conductors, minimal insulation, and straightforward construction. The goal is to keep the cable design purposeful and avoid unnecessary materials.

Why use solid-core conductors?

Solid-core wire uses a single conductor rather than a bundle of strands. ANTICABLES uses this straightforward construction for consistency and a direct signal path.

Why is the insulation so thin?

ANTICABLES uses minimal insulation around the conductor. This keeps the construction simple and reduces the amount of dielectric material surrounding the signal conductor.

Setup & listening

Do ANTICABLES require a break-in period?

ANTICABLES recommends allowing cables time to settle in your system. Speaker cables typically see extended use during this period; the exact time can vary with the cable and system.

Can I use different cable lengths?

Yes. Different lengths can be used when your system requires them. For multi-channel systems, keeping corresponding cable lengths reasonably close can simplify system matching.

Should I bi-wire my speakers?

That depends on your speakers and system. If your speakers support bi-wiring, ANTICABLES can be configured for that application. If you single-wire, use the speaker manufacturer’s recommended connection and appropriate jumpers.

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

International shipping is available. Shipping options and costs depend on the destination and order.
